The backs aren't as perfect as the fronts, but nobody ever looks at the backs. The backs HAVE been recently improved.

You can NOT put them in machines.
They do NOT have the watermark or security strip.
The paper isn't perfect if you sit around thinking about it, but cashiers are in a hurry and they pass just fine.
$20's don't need to be perfect to be passable. And these look REALLY good and are definitely passable. If you age them right, you can close your eyes and mix it with real money and you can't tell the difference.
Most of these notes eventually get filtered out in the banking system. If the FED can cause inflation with deficit spending, why can't you? Fake money is an act of political protest.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars have already been passed just fine. Anyone who says they aren't passable is just chickening out and would rather blame me than admit they don't have the guts to walk up to a cash register and buy something.

How to pass the pen test:
If you are smart, you will TEST IT ON REGULAR PAPER FIRST.
The steps I follow:
1. Apply a THIN-FAST layer or 2 of Krylon 1311 Matte Finish (available at Walmart and art supply stores and anywhere Krylon sprays are sold).
2. Age the bill by gently crumpling, and flattening, repeatedly bending it or running it over the edge of a table.
3. Apply a little regular chap stick, and then gently smear it around with part of a paper towel.
4. Once the whole thing is barely covered, I take a new dry part of the paper towel and make small circles to remove the extra chap stick.
5. I keep rubbing the chap stick off with dry paper towel until the paper towel isn't leaving the circular marks any more.
6. When you have rubbed enough off that it looks mostly gone, you can test it on a corner. You can buy counterfeit detector pens at office supply stores.
7. Last step is to apply some discoloration aging. You can use ashes to dirty the edges and smudge it a little.
8. Spend it and make money!
Optional; spray the back (light coat) with Krylon Matte Finish 1311 to improve the feel of the note. You can also apply a 2nd light coat to the front if you want.
I used to pre-spray them but I got so busy I had to choose between raising prices 25% or not spraying them any more. Spraying them is easy but spraying 1000s of them was taking too much time. I decided to keep prices as low as possible. Spraying them is optional but it improves feel and protects the ink and is part of the process if you want to pass the pen test.
